The year is almost over!!

Yes folks, it's true the year is almost over and thank God we are all still here! ( Silly mayans )But, you know what that means... The tax man cometh and he cometh soon. I was so extremely blessed to work with so many talented models and photographers this past year, I just can't wait to see what we create next! Bridal trial on Ashley

Ashley will be getting married in October in Auburn, CA. I got the chance to meet her and her lovely mom just recently while doing their makeup trials for the Big day. What a really wonderful family and beautiful gal!! Can't wait to see her on the wedding day!

Today was Amy's wedding at Sugar Bowl Ski Resort. It was absolutely beautiful out there today. I did her makeup three bridesmaids and both Moms. Here is photo from her makeup trial. Hope to get some shots if the bride to add later.

I enjoy doing makeup for Brides because there is something special about a woman on her wedding day, it's like an internal glow! Making her look fresh and beautiful for all to see is a big deal, after all it's one of the most important days of her life! The Bridal party are all a buzz with excitement too and Moms are bursting with pride. Yeah, it's one of my favorite things to do for sure!! Blessings to all you gorgeous Brides out there :)

SHOULD YOU TIP YOUR MAKEUP ARTIST?

A makeup artist will always appreciate a tip and it is definitely appropriate in most situations. So yes, yes you should, especially if you are satisfied with your service. And if they come to you, that makes it a convenient service. You tip your nail technician and hair stylist, don’t you?
Please keep in mind that this is a service you are receiving. Being a makeup artist is not as easy as one may think. There is a lot of cleaning, prepping, traveling and lugging equipment behind the scenes.
I hope this helps answer your question about tipping makeup artists. (= The next time you are satisfied with any service– wether it’d be your server, cab driver, makeup artist, etc please know that a tip is greatly appreciated.
[I was asked this question by several individuals and thought this would be great to address, simply because some people just do not know any better. Some people have never gotten their makeup done or even their nails or hair done professionally so it's unknown to them. Hope this helps]
